Royal Highland Show

Percy Tait continues his hugely successful season, taking the championship.

John Davison had a busy afternoon judging the Bleus at the Highland & Percy Tait continued his winning ways, taking both Male & Female Champion. The gimmer has been a prolific winner all season, taking the championship at the Three Counties just a few days before. She is by Tignahinch Jumping Jack, as is the shearling ram that Percy is showing this year. Percy seems to have the abilty to spot inexpensive ram lambs at the Carlisle Premier sale that will breed incredibly well. Jumping Jack was purchased for a very modest price as was Greenside Lynn two years later. This ram was the sire of Percy's winning ram lamb.

We had a great entry at the show, more sheep than we have had for 20 years, so what a future the breed has. So much improved over that time & making its way once again with the commercail farmer.

Percy Tait & has team must be congratulated on having such a successful show, he exhibited the Rouge champion as well, was runner up in the Individual Supreme Sheep Championship, with the Bleu gimmer as 2nd reserve.
