Millennium Bleus met a good trade at Chelford today

MILLENIUM BLEU PEAK AT 600 GNS AT CHELFORD’S SALE

Todays sale of Bleu du Maine and Millenium Bleu sheep for the Society at Chelford peaked at 600 gns for the best of a pen of Millenium Bleu shearling rams from Paul Farmer, Ashover, Derbyshire.  By an Aintree Ram and out of a ewe by Langley Charlie Boy, he was snapped up by M W Procter, Alvaston, Cumbria.

Another Millenium Bleu shearling ram, this time from Richard Pilkington’s Aintree flock, based near Wrexham, and similarly bred, made 580 gns to L H Wardle Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.

Mr Farmer also led the Millenium Bleu ram lambs, with his son of Headlind Dynamic, the former Royal Highland Show Champion, again out of a ewe by Langley Charlie Boy, which made 500 gns to J T Crowther, Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire.

It was a Millenuim Bleu gimmer from Paul Farmer which topped the female section of the sale, when a February 2015 born gimmer from his Moorlands Flock made 450 gns to W Stamper, Chipping, near Preston.
