The Bleu Sires Group is actively involved with the AHDB scheme

The AHDB Ram Compare Programme is entering its 2nd phase. It was launched in May 2015. On 6 commercial farms, combined breed evaluation allows multiple breeds of sheep to be analysed simultaneously. Animals from different breeds can be compared using data collected from their lambs from birth to slaughter. For more information go to www.RamCompare.com
Two Bleu du Maine rams have been chosen together with other minority breed rams in this 2nd phase. Semen from Burford Hercules, owned by Julie Bury, and  in the top 1% of the S.R.S. will be used to AI 30 commercial Lleyn ewes. Rumwell Open World in the top 10%, from Janet Richardson will be used for natural service on a further 30 Lleyns.
Bradley Farm in Gloucestershire one of the commercial farms with 350 Lleyn ewes will be holding an open event in May 2018.'

Robin Johnson will be holding a farm event on Saturday 14th October. Further details on the programme will follow.Top picture is Burford Hercules.
