There were plenty of buyers looking for females at the Premier Sale

The excellent trade resulted in an almost total clearence of the Bleu du Maine females with the top price being shared between Peter Fraser's gimmer sire by Cysgod Harry & Samuel Small's Champion Female, the February born Randalstown Leading Lady. Sired by Killans Kingpin & from a Clantibuies ewe both went on to sell for 650gns. The judge Alan Mounsey not only purchased this Randalstown lamb, he bought Sam Small's other ewe lamb as well as other purchases including one from Sue McInnes Skinner's Ernford flock.Iwan & Miar Davies sold Cysgod Lady for 600gns after she had stood 2nd in the ewe lamb class.

Sally Shone continues her very successful season by winning the Ram Lamb class & taking Male & Supreme Champion with the January born Maximum Liberator. Sired by her Royal Highland & Royal Welsh supreme champion Calla King Kong, this lamb stood 1st at the Royal Highland in June. He later sold for the top price of the day at 1300gns.

William Baillie's shearling ram Calla Killer, slayed all before him in the ram class & then stood Res. Male & Res. Supreme before selling for 580gns, a price equalled by Laine Daff with her Greenside King, a March born shearling by the same sire as the Calla ram - Calla Jumping Jack.

Mrs Rosemary McAllister had a successful debut with her Artnagullion Millennium Bleus, winning the newly presented Inveresk Trophy for the Champion. He later sold for 900gns. The MB's again had a good trade with most finding new homes.
