MAXIMUM Youngblood had far more than five seconds of fame, with spirited bidding soaring to 4000gns. Consigned by Sally & Fin Shone, this son of DIRNANEAN Norman a renown tup from the 1980’s, goes back to the original bloodline of the MAXIMUM flock twenty years ago.

To further the 20th anniversary of establishing the MAXIMUM flock, the next Lot in the ring MAXIMUM Yeats this time by TIGHNAHINCH Knock-Out saw the hammer fall at 2200gns with both tup lambs making a brace sold to the Haydon Flock, Taunton. A third tup lamb from the same home, MAXIMUM Yukon, another son of DIRNANEAN Norman sold at 2000gns this time to the DANYGRAIG Flock of Dylan & Caio Jones, Powys.

3000gns saw the final call for WILLPOWER Yodel, consigned by Will Price, this son of successful show tup AGHAVILLY Whats App has rosettes running through his veins having already won his class at the 2023 National Show and went home with Dave Roberts, Shrewsbury.

Crossing the water from Northern Ireland was a trip well rewarded for Glenn Baird, with AGHAVILLY Ya Know Yourself soaring to 1800gns. This full brother of AGHAVILLY Victora Beckham had already won a first prize on his first and only summer show outing and found his new home with Ben Radley, Loaningfoot.

The shearling rams saw the show champion DANYGRAIG Wiseguy from Dylan & Caio Jones find his new home at 3000gns in a two-way split between the BOWBRIDGE flock of Archie Stamp, Mark and the MAUNDOWN flock of Margaret Heard & John Garland, Wiveliscombe. A son of DANYGRAIG Valentino, he impressed judge Arwell Rees with his power and overall correctness.

At 2400gns SKYE BLEU Wolfgang ET saw the hammer fall, consigned by Kenny O’Connor this son of the 2021 National Sale champion, MAXIMUM Vin Diesel had already won the Male Championship at Great Yorkshire Show 2023.

In the females SKYE BLEU’s hit the headlines once again, this time with SKYE BLEU Wynter ET with bids soaring to 3200gns. As a same-way flush to Wolfgang, out of CALLA One Way this stylish ewe found her new home with new breeder establishing his flock in North Wales, Mr Jones.

A third from the same flush, this time SKYE BLEU Wonder Woman ET found her new home with the CYSGOD flock of Iwan Davies, Ceredigion at 1650gns.

The AGHAVILLY flock took to the stage again this time at 2200gns for AGHAVILLY Winnie, sired by MAXIMUM Top Gun and out of the 2023 Balmoral Show Champion she found her new home with Mr Jones, North Wales. Not to be outshone, AGHAVILLY Wimbledon again sired by Top Gun and out of MAXIMUM Ruby sold at 1700gns.

Topping the Millennium Bleu trade at 1000gns was pre-sale champion CARGEN GLEN Wonderman from Kerrie McDermid who was purchased by the judge, Arwell Rees, Llanfair.

Close behind at 800gns was AVIEMORE Walloon consigned by Bruce Mair who was sired by HAYDON Victor. Victor’s dam PERDI Stelar was purchased for 1600gns at the PERDI dispersal.

A solid trade for Millennium Bleu gimmers saw CARGEN GLEN top this section also, this time at 550gns for the pre-sale reserve champion.

Nipping at her heels were two further gimmers at 500gns, AINTREE Witney from Richard Pilkington and SKYE BLEU Wisdom from Kenny O’Connor.
