I am delighted to be joining the Bleu du Maine Sheep Society as your Breed Promotions Officer, whilst merging with the fantastic job that Jane has done for you all as Breed Secretary.

This is an exciting time for our breed in both the pedigree and commercial climates and I very much look forward to extolling the virtues of both the Bleu du Maine and the Millennium Bleu with current members and to potential new breeders.

In a time of uncertainty one thing is without doubt; we have a breed of sheep to tick all the boxes and we need to promote this to the absolute maximum.

I also work as Field Service Officer for the Jersey Cattle Society of the United Kingdom and farm the Whitefield Herd of pedigree Devon cattle and run a flock of pedigree sheep with my parents in Somerset.

I very much hope my experience within breed societies in a professional capacity, running alongside the passion from my family farming background will combine to offer professional and personal knowledge at a practical level.

I very much look forward to working with you all to continue flying our rather special Bleu du Maine flag.
