The Society are extremely grateful to the McInnes Skinner family for the exceptional amounts of time and effort put in to hosting their Open Day on Saturday.

Updates of the event were posted to Social Media throughout the day but as a flavour: we were welcomed to Booters Hall Farm with an excellent breakfast and plenty of machinery to have a look at and guess the weight & stockjudging competitions. We then jumped on to buses and began the tour; first stop was at one of the Turkey sites where 180,000 birds are on a bed & breakfast scheme. 

Next stop was a substantial bunch of Bleu & Bleu Cross ewes all in with a cracking Beltex tup. Then we had a tour of the excellent herds of South Devons & Hereford cattle and then back to Crown Farm to view bunches of Bleu Du Maine ewes with their rams, shearling rams and ram lambs.

We then headed back to Booters for more excellent hospitality. A huge amount of effort goes in to hosting these events and on behalf on the membership & Society, we send our sincere thanks to Sue, Jonathan, Michael & Jess.
